Welcome mom! I am a Pelvic Floor and Orthopedic Physical Therapist with 10 years experience helping people reach their movement and activity goals, and I love it. I graduated from Clemson University in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health Sciences and a minor in Athletic Leadership. I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga in 2012.
Through WFM, my passion is to educate and use movement to help women understand their pregnant and postpartum bodies as well as safely and confidently participate in the activities they love. As a PT and mom of 3, I see first hand the lack of education provided to women in the areas of pregnancy exercise/movement and postpartum physical recovery and exercise. I desire to be a part of filling that gap. What does "return to your normal activity" mean at your 6-8 week OB visit? What does it mean to "just listen to your body" or "keep doing what you were doing" when it comes to pregnancy and exercise? Is peeing on yourself just part of life after giving birth? Let me help you answer those questions and more. I'm here for you!
